For the last 2 days, a video is being shared on social media where there is an altercation between Hindus & Muslims.

Viral Videos Create Problems Between Hindus & Muslims?

In the video, in UP's Mirzapur, a Muslim man named Abdul was seen assaulting Hindu women with a hammer. The altercation happened because the Hindu family asked him to not throw garbage in front of their home.

The video also shows that the bystanders ran away when the women came to thrash them. The video went viral and people were livid over Abdul's inappropriate behavior. This led to arguments between Hindus and Muslims. Zee Hindustan journalist Tushar Srivastava also tweeted the video saying, Under the Katra police station area of ​​Mirzapur,  Abdul made a deadly attack on the women of a Hindu family. This is very wrong. He had written in Hindi, "Now why Abdul should not be called a terrorist, this is called terror." There was a huge controversy over this. Mirzapur police took notice of the viral video and realized there was a huge misunderstanding.

Mirzapur police stated that both the victims and assailants belonged to the Muslim community. Arrests have been made and the incident took place in January 2022. Misunderstanding is being created now. Three people have already been arrested. Avoid spreading misinformation. Such incidents of instigating communities on the basis of religion, language, food, for eg not allowing nonveg food during Navratri and dress are on the rise.

In the video both parties were Muslim but people shared the video to create communal tensions. There was another video that went viral on social media to create tension between Hindus & Muslims. You all must be aware of Haldiram's snacks and sweets.

A reporter from Sudarshan News TV goes to one of its stores and asks one of the staff, for Haldiram’s ‘Falhari Mixture’ made for people fasting in Navratri. The workers hand the reporter the packet. The reporter saw the information written in Urdu and said this is a good way for the company to dupe people. Since the text is in Urdu no one will understand if there is animal oil or beef oil. The staff then responds: “If you want to have this you can have it, if you don’t then you can just keep this here and leave.” There was a huge altercation and people supported the staff for her befitting reply. 

The viral video once again led to hate comments from Hindus and Muslims. Seeing the comments people realized it was a misunderstanding. People started to call for a boycott of Haldiram’s products. It was then found that the text written on the pack is not Urdu but Arabic. Both the texts look similar, so don't get confused. 

Arabic texts are needed for Indian products exported in the Middle East countries. Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, etc. Since they use Arabic, they can understand.

There was no need for such a huge controversy. Some also said that the reporter could have avoided the argument by simply translating the text online using his phone. Haldiram's website shows text in English on the front, along with a green dot, symbolizing it’s a vegetarian product. The controversy was created with the intention to instigate problems between Hindus & Muslims. What was the need for such a misunderstanding? Any items exported to the UAE need to have Arabic text. This is so that locals can understand the text. So Haldiram followed the rule.

The same rule applies to other countries like Japan, the UK, the USA, etc. India is not an exception. Simply there was a controversy to create problems between Hindus and Muslims.
