Alien Skin Exposure 4 (Photoshop Plugin)

Raleigh, North Carolina - January 16, 2011 - Alien Skin Software today announced Exposure® 4, the new version of its photography effects plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop®, Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Lightroom®. Exposure provides a wide range of creative effects in precise film simulation and a simple interface.

"It's the most important update to Exposure since its creation," said Tom Welsh, designer of Exposure. "Everything across the board is fast and very easy to use."

Exposure brings all the creative tools of film photography into the digital world, such as closed movies, dark room tricks, and low-fi camera quirks. Popular classic films are accurately simulated, such as Kodachrome, Polaroid and Panatomic-X. Exposure reproduces the ethereal brightness of the black and white infrared film, and now the color is infrared.

The new textured overlay effects are created from light leaks, dust and scratches, and high-resolution photos across borders. This helps add detail to new presets for alternative photographic processes such as cyanotype, lith printing, and weight plate photography.

Exposure 4 features a completely redesigned user interface and new controls that help you quickly detect a wide range of effects or develop your own custom look. Black and white and color film have now been combined into a filter so that everything is in one place. The new text search lets you instantly locate hundreds of presets. More than one mouse to see just a thumbnail preview.

Host requirements

Exposure 4 is a plug-in and requires one of the following host applications:

Adobe Photoshop CS4 or newer
Adobe photoshop elements 9 or newer
Adobe photoshop lightroom 2 or newer
System Requirements
Microsoft Windows users require Windows Vista or newer.
Apple Macintosh users require Mac OS X 10.6 or newer.
An Intel Core 2 processor or compatible is required.
A monitor with 1024 × 768 resolution or more is required.
